Friday 10th July - recuperating at home

 

To help explain some of my diary entries I have scribbled down some of the things I have seen recently with what I think they are/could be.  If you can help explain anything then please comment below, especially with translations if you know them.

 

 

 

 

 

The Blade

 

Although I do not know how Xanthic sees this thing, I've seen at least three alternatives but tend to think of it as a bayonet. 

 

I feel safer with it as its not sharp and feels reassuringly heavy in my hands.  The wooden handle feels warm and comforting and it has a weighty metal end (could be silver if I were to clean it up) which means the blade always points straight.

 

The golden curved blade scares me, its razor sharp and I don't know which way around to hold it, I'm also terrified of hurting myself on it.  For something that seems to be self illuminating its cold and foreboding.



 The kitchen knife with the bent end - seen whilst being held by BQ in the hospital ward.  He made such a fuss over seeing something so ordinary;  it makes me wonder if he saw something different and Xanthic was influencing the blade to revert to this form to placate the crowd.
  Why a bent end? I've never had a knife like it nor seen one,  Had a few chip at the point (when I've used them as screwdrivers or wall paper scrapers).

What else has it looked like?  Will it change again?  Now Xanthic has it back I haven't had a chance to play with it and see.






My new tattoo

This is what now permanently marks my chest - my parents are quite 'straight' so I have had to stop wearing strappy tops and dresses when I visit them for fear of causing a 'to do'.  It sits upon my left breast and close to the centre line, apparently directly over my heart which I thought was on my left).

I've been told it aided my recuperation and offers protection to me all the time it remains intact - its feels warm in times of pain and stress, and funnily enough during a stiff gym workout so it may be something to do with elevated heart rate and a tightness in my chest and nothing to do with the sign.  Any ideas would be welcome.

  I've copied it with use of a mirror so I hope I have the runes/glyphs or writing correct - they maybe backwards as its more complicated than you think to copy from a mirror image.

The tattoo isn't as neat as this, what with the curve and stretch of the skin where it is the lines are only slightly off straight.  The ink is black, but can appear green. red and blue the same as petrol spilled into a puddle.
 
I call it 'the eye' for obvious reasons, but my research has not identified the image in the middle nor any possible meaning.  Does it watch out for me?   And the meaning of the three larger symbols - there are a lot of mysticism and magical links to the number three.  Does one of these form the meaning of the triangle?

I do feel like I have seen it before - or I have a bad case of déjà vu.

The symbols around the outside ring seem to be old, older than Egyptian and are too rough to be Mayan.  I will need to visit a very old library or hunt around for a very well read magical or Wiccan librarian.
